Obesity drawbacks can be divided into three below categories.
1. Health disadvantages of obesity
2. Social problems obese people face
3. Psychological issues

Health disadvantages of obesity

1. Heart disease

Due to metabolism or cholesterol dysfunction in obese people, the risk of cardiovascular diseases increases. Eating full of calorie food or junk food can result increment in LDL (low density lipo-protein) cholesterol level which is obviously not good for health. Moreover high levels of sugar in the blood due to insulin resistance also cause heart diseases.

A study showed that LDL increases the causes of heart attacks, as it narrows or blocks arteries which prevent the blood reaching the heart that can lead to heart attack or instant heart failure. More on obesity being the enemy of heart, fatty acids that chubbies consume from the unhealthy diets also contribute crucially in the development of heart disease and as noted it's been the major cause of dramatic heart failure.

2. Type II diabetes

When a person pancreas doesn't generates enough insulin or their body doesn't response to insulin properly that is T2 diabetes. The most common cause of this type of diabetes is obesity. This is dangerous as over time, the high glucose levels in blood damages the nerves. Similar to aforementioned point as cholesterol may narrow the body arteries so that this destructive disease can, this can be the reason of heart attack and strokes.

3. High blood pressure

Obesity is a major risk factor for high blood pressure (also known as “hypertension”).  Approximately 3 out of 4 hypertension cases are related to obesity. The role of obesity is that, the more weight or mass a person has, the more their heart has to work to get blood to the body tissues. Simply a heart has to apply more force when need to deliver blood to the vessels, so the excessive weight increases the risk of high blood pressure. In addition hypertension can leads to heart failure.

4. Osteoporosis

It’s a condition in which bones become brittle from loss of tissues, usually as result of hormonal changes. It’s a little controversial issue but what is clear read on. As when an individual gain a lot of fat and its body structure changes and due to that hormones also changes as output, it generates pressure on the bones. Thus the bones get weakness. As common sense concerned as more weight you have on body as more pressure you have on your bones.

5. Strokes

People with abnormal obese body can have stroke. The most common stroke is caused by the blockage of blood vessel in the brain. Making excessive fat is not limited to the body under the neck, it can damage our brain too. Further to that strokes are likely happen to or more common in men.
